UnityPoint Clinic is seeking a Pulmonary/Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Rock Island, IL and Bettendorf, IA. This 1.0 FTE, exempt role offers 12-hour shifts within an integrated UnityPoint system, with clinics on both hospital campuses and Epic EMR for coordinated care.

The ideal candidate will have ICU/critical care experience, an unrestricted medical license in IA and IL, and the ability to prescribe medications as needed.

Qualifications

• ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Unrestricted medical license in IA and IL.
• Prescribe/administer medications with authority.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate to manage critically ill patients in the ICU with procedures such as intubations.
• Engage in daily rounds in the ICU.
• Coordinate care with intensivists, hospitalists, and other physicians; communicate goals and plans clearly to ICU nurses.
• Ensure coordination with attending physicians, subspecialists and nursing teams.
• Maintain high standard of handoff communication between shifts.
• Average census of 12–14 patients per shift.
• Contribute to team effort to improve community health.

• This is an ideal role for an Advanced Practice Provider who wants to work closely with a team of Physicians and nurses to manage critically ill patients in the Hospital
• Looking to expand program with additional Critical Care providers
• Multiple shift options available: Days, Nights, Weekends; 12-hour shifts
• Clinics located at both Hospital campuses
• Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively manage critically ill patients in the ICU, trained to perform essential procedures such as intubations
• Actively engage in daily rounds in the ICU
• Collaborate daily with the intensivists, hospitalists, and other consulting physicians to coordinate care and cleary communicate goals and patient treatment plan with the intensive care unit nurses to facilitate care
• Work within the critical care team and ensure coordination with attending, subspecialists, and nursing team
• Maintaining a high standard of continuity of care in handoff communication between shifts among providers and physicians
• Average census: 12-14 patients per shift
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and the communities we serve

Qualifications

• Prior ICU and/or Critical Care either as advance practitioner and/or nurse preferred
• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of IA and IL
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States
