AKS Engineering & Forestry seeks a Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Public Works Team. You’ll serve as Engineer of Record for municipal projects, review development applications, and support planning, design, and construction for growing communities.

We value ownership, collaboration, and leadership. Candidates should have a PE license, a civil engineering degree, 5+ years of public-infrastructure experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, and project-management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on public infrastructure projects.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and project management tools.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities for collaboration with municipal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record for municipal clients, ensuring integrity of public infrastructure projects.
• Act as municipal representative for review, plan approval, construction management, and project closeout of development or planning projects.
• Attend and participate in pre-application, pre-construction, Planning Commission, and City Council meetings.
