Lane County Public Works is seeking dedicated professionals to work as a PW Management Analyst in its Administration Services Division. These positions will assist in preparing the Department’s annual budget, financial reports, and computations. You will provide collaborative and solution-oriented services through divisional financial analysis, cost analysis, data analytics, and project work as needed. PW Management Analysts are often involved in cross-divisional teams and tasked with conducting research, determining and raising pertinent issues, preparing a variety of reports, and summarizing findings.
The Public Works Management Analyst is a broad classification. Incumbents perform a broad range of professional analytical and administrative work in support of their assigned are of responsibility. Duties may include organizational/program research and analysis, budget development and monitoring, cost analysis, contract and grant administration support, and other related analytical activities. Specific duties will vary in accordance with assigned area of responsibility.
Positions assigned to the Public Works Budget Team provide professional budget, financial, and analytical support to the department and divisions. Responsibilities generally include researching and analyzing organizational, financial, system, and procedural issues; evaluating financial and operational trends; updating analytical models and financial forecasts; preparing, monitoring, and recommending operating and capital budgets; updating budget worksheets and supporting documentation; preparing financial analyses and management reports; interpreting and applying budgetary and financial policies.

The Administrative Services Division includes 22 FTE and provides support services for the other seven Public Works (PW) divisions. It serves as central administration for the Department, with functions that include payroll, budgeting, financial management, safety, training and development, contract administration, and customer service. Administrative Services also provides leadership, information, analysis, and support to the Department Director, management team, staff, citizens, and Board of Commissioners to assist them in making quality decisions about the Department and Lane County’s communities.
Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Alternative schedules may be considered. Some overtime required per operational needs.
