Job summary

The Town of Windsor, CT is seeking a Maintainer II to perform manual and semi-skilled construction, maintenance and repair work in streets, highways, parks and grounds. The role carries a salary of $66,298 per year and benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance, plus retirement and tuition support.

Ideal candidates will have highway/grounds maintenance experience, CDL-B with endorsements, and the ability to work after hours for standby/emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent, plus two years of related highway or grounds maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Valid CDL (B) and clean driving record; post-offer physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform street maintenance, pothole patching, curb repairs, and material hauling.
• Perform grounds maintenance on town property and parks.
• Operate maintenance vehicles and equipment safely.
