Job summary

City of Lebanon is seeking a Public Works Equipment Operator to work on roads, bridges, and drainage projects. The role involves operating bobcat, skid steer, backhoe, and other light equipment under supervision.

You will join a crew, perform maintenance tasks, and comply with safety standards. A High School diploma or GED is required, valid Tennessee Class B CDL, and residency near Wilson County preferred. OT and on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with light to medium equipment preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate light construction equipment such as bobcat, skid steer, backhoe, and mowers.
• Assist crew with digging ditches, repairing bridges, laying pipe, and asphalt work.
• Perform grounds maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety and security standards and comply with supervisor directions.
• Potential for overtime or on-call duty as required.
• Work as part of a crew to complete projects.
