Job summary

The City of Grants Pass is seeking a GIS Supervisor to lead and manage the City-wide Geographic Information System (GIS) program within the Public Works Department. You will play a key role in planning, implementation, and administration of GIS initiatives. The position works in the office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m., with a focus on supervision, budgeting, and coordinating projects and bids. A Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience are required, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; four years of related experience required, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
• GIS experience and program administration preferred; knowledge of GIS project planning and budgeting is expected.
• Licensing/credentials: GISP preferred; valid driver's license as required by state law.

• Administering the city-wide GIS program, to include structure and design
• Managing budgets, making recommendations, approving expenditures, and preparing reports
