Job summary

City of Titusville is seeking an unskilled or semi-skilled laborer for construction and maintenance work in Public Works, with paths for progression through Technician levels. The role may involve operating small to heavy equipment, performing vehicle maintenance, and carrying out labor tasks as assigned.

Level I technicians start with required safety training and a high school diploma, with advancement opportunities through Levels II–V based on assignment and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or one year of manual labor experience.
• Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (Class B or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain City equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on City vehicles and equipment.
• Operate a variety of machinery and equipment and perform labor tasks as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and wear safety equipment at all times.
• Communicate with supervisor and other departments to coordinate work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
