Job summary

CWS Construction Group seeks a qualified Project Manager for our Santa Clara County team. The role emphasizes planning, coordination and administration of off-site activities to ensure on-time, on-budget work aligned with CWS quality standards.

Responsibilities include cost/schedule management, drafting monthly billings, and supervising all construction activities to completion. Requirements include 5+ years construction, 3+ years PM leadership, public works experience, CPM ability, and a valid

Qualifications

• Public works construction experience is required.
• 5+ years experience in construction.
• 3+ years experience as a Project Manager supervising project teams.
• Experience with public works projects.
• Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to develop a CPM.
• Ability to supervise, schedule and inspect all phases and trades to ensure contractual compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass LiveScan requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and administer off-site activities to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
• Manage project cost and schedule and forecast labor, material and equipment.
• Draft, review and submit monthly project billings.
• Supervise all construction activities from start to finish.
• Develop a baseline schedule and maintain construction schedule throughout the project.
• Supervise superintendents, subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality control and compliance.
• Resolve problems from plans/specs, unknown conditions, conflicts with Architects/Engineers/Designers/Subcontractors/Vendors.
• Provide leadership in training Superintendents and Field crew on procedures, construction and safety.
