City of San Antonio is seeking a Supervising Construction Inspector to lead and coordinate a team of Construction Inspectors on a variety of public capital projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience, plus a Texas Class C driver's license. You will monitor field inspections, ensure plans and specs are followed, and mentor staff while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of increasingly responsible experience dealing with public works construction projects or construction inspections.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.

Aufgaben

• Supervises Construction Inspectors and Senior Construction Inspectors to ensure compliance of assigned Public Works projects.
• Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the performance of assigned staff and provides coaching for performance improvement.
• Visits project sites to monitor progress and ensure plans, specifications, and contract documents are followed.
• Addresses major or complex problems during construction and reviews field alterations.
• Ensures safety and traffic control procedures are followed and coordinates with management.
• Prepares final inspection punch lists and coordinates final acceptance processes.
• Reviews inspection reports and maintains records of activities; provides field support as needed.
• Coordinates and prepares reports and correspondence in response to requests from management.
