Job Description and Duties

The Broadband Caseworker Policy Analyst will conduct technical, policy, and economic analysis, and communicate about them, to support local communities to engage with broadband Internet access programs.

Under the direction of the Program & Project Supervisor, the Caseworker Policy Analyst (PURA III) will work with policy and technical team members to engage with local governments, and other public entities to assess the need for broadband infrastructure to provide Internet and data services in California. The Caseworker Policy Analyst will conduct technical, policy, economic and other analyses in support of outreach efforts, through public in-person and virtual meetings, including communicating information about broadband programs to government entities, businesses, non-profits, the public and service providers.

This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working as a field representative involving complex and/or controversial intergovernmental negotiations and/or coordinating the work of representatives of various governmental agencies on large projects.
• Experience working in the fields of telecommunications or broadband.
• Experience producing/writing public communications such as white papers, web pages, social media posts, reports.
