Job summary

South Central Illinois Mass Transit District in Illinois is seeking a full-time Driver to provide safe and reliable public transportation for the communities we serve. You will be the face of our SCT team, upholding a cheerful demeanor while following traffic laws and routes to pick up and drop off riders.

We offer competitive pay starting at $17/hour (non-CDL) or $17.50/hour with CDL passenger endorsement, plus a $0.50 raise after 90 days, and generous benefits like paid time off and 100%

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Ability to obtain or possess a Class C CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Open availability and flexibility with work schedule.
• Ability to pass a background check and a drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the company while interacting with the public with a cheerful demeanor.
• Adhere to traffic laws and drive routes to pick up and drop off community members.
• Sanitize and clean vehicles to ensure a pleasant riding experience.
• Provide safe, reliable transportation and friendly customer service.
