Job summary

East Texas Council Of Governments is hiring GoBus Drivers in Tyler, Texas, for part-time hours (39 hours or less per week). You will transport passengers, provide reliable customer service, and ensure safe operation of the vehicle on regional routes.

Walk-in interviews occur every Tuesday in September from 9:00am to 11:00am at 321 N. Bois d'Arc Avenue, Tyler, TX 75702. Experience with tablets and scheduling software is beneficial, with CDL endorsement preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of professional driving and customer service experience.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to operate a tablet or mobile device.
• CDL with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers to their destinations as a GoBus Driver.

They provide reliable transportation to passengers throughout the East Texas region.As a Public Transit Driver, you will transport passengers to their destinations, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain a clean and safe vehicle.Requires short and long-distance driving, advanced vehicle handling, and strong GPS navigation skills. Able to adapt to changing routes is a must, ensure passenger safety and comfort on extended trips, and manage complex passenger transfers. Requires additional certifications and technical proficiency with tablets and scheduling software. Must live within 30 miles of the garage location.
