Job summary

Ohio Northern University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Communication Studies. This part-time faculty role concentrates on teaching undergraduate students and serving as the instructor of record for Public Speaking (CAMS 1301).

The department seeks candidates with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to mentoring students inside and outside the classroom. Review will begin immediately and continue as needed each semester. Appointment length is 9 months.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication Studies or 18 hours graduate coursework in Communication Studies required.
• Experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Communication Studies courses encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor students inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Serve as instructor of record for CAMS 1301 – Presentational Speaking.
• Typically teach one course per semester, with possible second course based on demand.
