Job summary

Hotel 55 Chicago is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain cleanliness across public spaces, ensuring guest comfort and safety in a vibrant boutique setting near the Magnificent Mile.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, and reporting maintenance while upholding high standards of service in a non-exempt, on-site role. Prior housekeeping experience helpful, English fluency desirable.

Qualifications

• Desirable: fluency in English.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to be well groomed, clean and neat.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned public areas: lobbies, corridors, restrooms and common spaces.
• Restock towels and supplies in public restrooms and replenish amenities.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals per surfaces and safety rules.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and use as intended.
• Keep cart and linen organized and safe.
• Report maintenance issues and guest requests to housekeeping.
