The City of Flagstaff is hiring 8 Custodial Workers to maintain city-owned buildings and facilities across approximately 900,000 square feet. Under supervision, duties include routine cleaning, safety, and documentation to ensure clean, sanitary spaces for employees and the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of custodial/janitorial experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Regular attendance is essential; ability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize floors, restrooms, offices, lobbies, and common areas.
• Disinfect restrooms and restock supplies.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, auto-scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Report damage or hazards to supervisor promptly.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for events at city facilities.
• Complete daily task logs and required documentation.
