Job summary

Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is seeking a Public Space Attendant for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Fridays & Saturdays until 11:00 PM). The role focuses on keeping lobby and public areas clean and inviting for guests. High school diploma preferred; prior housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities include cleaning, vacuuming, waste management, and assisting the housekeeping team as needed. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and shampoo carpets as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll play an important role in creating the exceptional guest experience Brasstown Valley is known for. Your day may include:

• Keeping our lobby, conference center, entrances, and public areas clean and welcoming
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and shampooing carpets
• Cleaning windows, glass doors, furniture, and fixtures
• Keeping resort entrances neat and free of debris
• Cleaning and sanitizing public restrooms and locker rooms
• Emptying trash and keeping supplies stocked
• Quickly reporting maintenance concerns to management
• Handling Lost & Found items with care and professionalism
• Supporting our Room Attendants and housekeeping team when needed
• Giving extra attention to details—checking under furniture, cushions, and hard-to-see areas to make sure nothing is overlooked

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.

The Job Is Active—And That's a Good Thing!

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy and being on their feet rather than sitting behind a desk.

You’ll regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and perform cleaning tasks throughout your shift. You should be comfortable lifting up to 20 pounds regularly.
