New-Com, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Project Engineer to support PMs and Superintendents on public-sector commercial building projects in Las Vegas, NV.

The role emphasizes planning, coordination, and execution, with involvement in documentation, cost control, scheduling, and field coordination. A candidate with 1–5 years in commercial construction and a strong eye for detail will thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in public works or government-funded projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Primavera, or Bluebeam preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in planning, coordination, and execution of public-sector commercial projects.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Help manage project schedules, drawings, and specifications.
• Track quantities, assist with pay applications, and monitor project budgets.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
• Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams to maintain progress and resolve issues.
• Participate in project meetings, take minutes, and track action items.
• Support compliance efforts including prevailing wage, certified payroll, DBE/SMWBE participation, and permit documentation.
• Assist in close-out documentation, including as-builts, O&M manuals, and warranty tracking.
