Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering for Public Sector (SLED & FedCIV). You will lead a team of Delivery & Engagement Managers and Technical Program Managers, partnering with GTM and account teams to scope, propose, and contract services that deliver mission-critical data and AI outcomes across US public sector customers.

You will own the P&L, shape the FDE strategy, nurture customer relationships, and cultivate a culture of psychological safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Clearance: minimum US Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years second-line leadership experience, 10+ years total with 20+ reports.
• Domain expertise in high-growth enterprise software, pre-sales or services.
• Proven ability to drive large deals and transformational value.
• History building ecosystems of customer relationships across teams.
• Experience positioning solutions in complex strategic accounts.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Delivery & Engagement Manager/TPM team.
• Partner with GTM and account teams on discovery, scoping, and contracting.
• Own and drive P&L for the FDE public sector segment.
• Develop outcomes- and value-based strategy for the FDE org.
• Foster customer relationships and guide government sales cycles.
