Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate legal advice to boards, commissions, and departments
• Prepare ordinances, resolutions, opinions, and other documents
• Review contracts, leases, and other instruments
• Work with staff on complex transactional matters
• Advise and serve as counsel to boards and hearing bodies, including occasional evening meetings
• Handle civil litigation in state and federal courts
• Participate in mediations and negotiations
• Collaborate with outside counsel
