Job summary

Seward County in Liberal, KS, seeks an Assistant County Attorney to support the County Attorney by providing legal advice and representation to the county government. Qualifications

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist County Attorney in drafting contracts, ordinances, and resolutions.
• Conduct legal research on issues affecting county government.
• Provide support during court hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
• Review and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to advise county officials.
• Collaborate with county departments and external counsel as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in law and legal trends affecting the county.
