The Broward County Government is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to plan, direct, and coordinate all financial activities at the highest level of county management. As Director of the Finance and Administrative Services Department, the CFO oversees six divisions, manages the department budget, and ensures transparent financial reporting in accordance with law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field is required.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in public finance administration including six years in an executive or administrative capacity is required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.

Responsabilités

• Direct the operations of the Broward County Finance and Administrative Services Department.
• Oversee preparation of proposed and final Department budgets for presentation to budget offices and commission.
• Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations and maximize investments.
• Lead a large and diverse workforce with strong interpersonal skills in a complex financial environment.
• Manage debt issuance, risk management, and large contracts including public‑private partnerships.
