Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Bid Manager, Public Sector to join the Sales Enablement & Bid Management Team. You will manage workflow, craft high-value and complex bids, and oversee content development for public sector pursuits as part of a larger team.

The role focuses on ensuring pursuit materials are strategic, compelling, and high-quality by coordinating quality control, execution, strategy, and enablement across national proposals and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or Technical Writing with 5+ years of proposal-related experience, or 7+ years with a HS diploma.
• Experience with public sector RFPs is required or preferred.
• Strong writing and editing skills with client-facing communication ability.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages an effective proposal process for high-value, complex, and strategic pursuits nationwide.
• Facilitates proposal planning and review meetings.
• Drives collaborative (color team) writing/review for complex methodologies and custom pursuit content.
• Develops and maintains templates and tools to streamline the proposal process.
• Maintains approved client lists by service and industry; provides formatting support for proposals.
• Ensures compliance with RFP requirements, CVI, and brand guidelines; reviews win themes and strategies.
• Supports international proposal development as needed.
• Partner with pursuit team to tailor messaging, win themes, and differentiators.
