Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 semester or 18 quarter units in Accounting and/or Auditing.
• Two years of professional accounting experience.
• CPA certificate may be substituted for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and/or statements for departments.
• Develop, review and maintain accounting and financial reporting systems in line with federal, state and local requirements.
• Collect and interpret financial information and analyze financial records.
• Monitors department financial systems to identify problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Exercise sound professional judgment in interpreting accounting policies.
