Horry County Police Department is seeking sworn entry-level officers to join our patrol division. You will perform public safety duties, patrol local streets and communities, respond to calls for service, and work closely with other agencies to protect residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include enforcing laws, preparing detailed incident and arrest reports, and maintaining firearms proficiency while serving the community under the direction of the Chief of Police.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of state, county, and federal laws related to patrol duties.
• Must meet firearms proficiency and safety standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Responsabilités

• Patrol County areas to deter crime and respond to incidents.
• Make arrests and process suspects following proper procedures.
• Respond to emergencies, conduct investigations, and prepare reports for court.
• Interact with the public and coordinate with other departments and agencies.
• Operate police vehicle and transport detainees as required.
