Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified law enforcement officer through APOSTC or eligible for lateral transfer.
• Valid driver’s license required at hire and ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Patrols an assigned area to detect and deter crime.
• Responds to calls for service.
• Conducts preliminary inquiries, field interviews, and follow-up investigations.
• Provides court testimony.
• Maintains assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Performs special duty assignments and related duties.
