Job summary

A regional airport authority in Virginia is looking for full-time Public Safety Officers to join their team. The position includes comprehensive training at the state certified police academy and the opportunity to function as an aircraft rescue firefighter. Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old at the time of application and 21 years by academy graduation.
• Experience in fire/rescue is a plus but not required.
• Virginia DCJS certification not required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Complete Virginia state certified police officer training at the Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training Academy.
• Assume duties of Public Safety Officer after completing the police academy and training.
• Participate in health/drug screening, psychological exam, and background investigation.
