Grover Beach Police Department is seeking a Police Officer. The role involves patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, and community safety tasks under general supervision, with opportunities for special assignments.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for a Police Officer. Typically, a Police Officer would possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in law enforcement and an associate’s degree are highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Patrols assigned areas by car, bicycle, motorcycle, or on foot; conducts investigations; enforces laws; issues citations and makes arrests; responds to complaints and emergencies; maintains public safety.
• Coordinates and conducts investigations of crimes; preserves evidence; testifies in court; cooperates with other agencies as warranted.
• Trains and assists less experienced personnel; supports field training and special assignments as needed.
