Job summary

HCFL Public Safety is seeking a part-time officer to patrol multiple campuses, secure buildings and assist staff and students. You will respond to incidents, enforce rules, prepare reports and monitor CCTV while providing first aid when needed.

The role requires a Florida Class D security license, CPR/First Aid certification (must be obtained within 30 days if not held) and a Florida driver’s license. This position is open until filled.

Qualifications

• Requires either vocational or technical school beyond High School/GED with at least one year of security guard or law enforcement experience, or an Associate’s degree in criminal justice or law enforcement.
• Florida Class D security license is required.
• CPR and first aid certification; CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days if not certified at hire.
• Florida driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and checks campus buildings.
• Patrols parking lots and grounds.
• Unlocks and secures buildings, classrooms and offices; sets alarms.
• Enforces parking and traffic regulations.
• Prepares reports.
• Assists students, visitors and College personnel.
• Administers first aid/CPR and monitors CCTV; may supervise contractual security.
