Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a security professional to support routine safety and emergency security operations. You will respond to emergencies, de-escalate critical events, and protect staff, patients, and visitors with sound judgment.

Education requires a high school diploma or GED. No experience is required, but 2 years in security/public safety is preferred. Certifications include a driver license and IAHSS; additional trainings may be required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 2 years in general security or public safety preferred.
• Licenses and certifications include: driver's license; IAHSS Security Officer within 1 year; pre-employment psychological screening; training in Taser, ASP Baton, MHFA; and other as directed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients and property.
• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Responsible for safe de-escalation of critical events and using sound judgment when engaging with combative or escalating subjects.

• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
