Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enforces all applicable laws and ordinances specified in tribal code.
• Receives information from officials and community to investigate reported violations and take action.
• Operates emergency vehicles and uses radio, cell phone and other communication gear; maintains weapon qualifications.
• Maintains professional conduct, appearance, and ethical standards on and off duty.
• Develops positive working relationships with community members, tribal staff and other agencies.
• Makes sound judgments based on training and tribal laws; manages crises per procedures.
• Responds to medical emergencies and supports public safety services as needed.
• Patrols the reservation and responds to calls for service; ensures safe, lawful operations.
• Completes required reporting and documentation in accordance with department policy.
