The City of Augusta is looking for a dedicated individual for a dual role in law enforcement and firefighting. This position requires essential knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to handle emergencies while working in various divisions, including Patrol and Fire. Candidates will engage in community education and ensure the enforcement of laws to maintain order.

This is general law enforcement and firefighting work dedicated to the protection of life and/or property. Work performed involves an element of personal danger. Employees work under general supervision following a period of field training and may be assigned to work in the Patrol Division, in the Fire Division, on special assignments, or as an investigator or Crime Prevention Officer assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. Employees are accountable to and evaluated by supervisors who review work methods and results through observation, reports, inspection, and discussion. This position will be assigned to the law enforcement division, with cross training in the fire division as needed.
