Qualifications

• Must be insurable by the employer's insurance carrier and maintain throughout employment.
• Must possess CAP.O.S.T certificate and maintain it throughout employment.
• Must attend a P.O.S.T Supervisory Course within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve reports on operations and activities of suspicious persons, safety hazards and unlawful activity in the assigned area.
• Assist patrols on foot or by vehicle; respond to calls for assistance as needed.
• Conduct daily briefing sessions for unit members; inspect uniforms and equipment.
• Detain and question witnesses, victims, suspects; coordinate with law enforcement as necessary.
• Conduct preliminary investigations; collect and preserve evidence; protect crime scene; report facts.
• Issue citations to violators of Tribal Ordinances.
• Direct traffic flow and reroute traffic in case of emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with Tribal rules and regulations.
• Recommend and assist in implementing the unit’s goals and objectives.
• Drive department or personal vehicle to conduct department business.

Starting Rate of Pay: DOE –$56,160.00 (Exempt)
