The South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) seeks an experienced and dedicated professional as a full-time Public Safety Officer to provide adequate safety supervision and emergency response to its campus, with a focus on residential students.
Under the supervision of the Director of Public Safety, the Public Safety Officer performs duties to include appropriate armed response for the protection and security of students, employees, and guests of GSSM and to support school policies for safety and security supporting state, county, and municipal laws. The Public Safety Officer will coordinate and administer a comprehensive school safety program for GSSM.
