Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Encino, CA. The role involves electronic surveillance, proactive rounds, and safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors.

You will enforce policies and work with the Environment of Care committee to maintain a safe environment of care. Per Diem position with a variable shift, offering competitive hourly pay and opportunities to grow within a respected healthcare system.

Qualifications

• State Guard Certification Registration Card
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Perform security services including electronic surveillance and security rounds.
• Coordinate facility response to potential problems for patients, employees and visitors.
• Enforce policy and procedure, ensuring safe workplace and environment of care.
• Work with Environment of Care committee for a multidisciplinary safety approach.
• Provide employee awareness and education; driving as needed for company business.

Responsibilities

Performs security services, including electronic surveillance, and systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds. Coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors. Enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement. Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care. Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety. Participates in employee awareness and education. . Driving as needed for company business.

1. Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred2. State Guard Certification Registration Card3. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Pay Transparency

Encino Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.00 to $26.22. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
