Cheltenham Township is seeking a part-time Community Service Specialist to work with the Police and Parks & Recreation Departments in Elkins Park, PA. The role involves public information, data entry, and assisting with street and event operations.

Responsibilities include answering calls, processing police reports, data entry into CODY, and supporting school crossings and parking controls. Requires HS diploma and background checks.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
• Able to work independent of direct supervision.

Responsabilités

• Answer Police Department telephones and assist callers.
• Take Police reports from citizens who come to the Police Station.
• Interact with the public and other law enforcement agencies.
• Access and utilize various Law Enforcement databases/programs, including JNET and CODY.
• Enter data into CODY Records Management program from the county CAD and other sources.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned by Police Department Supervisors.
• Monitor prisoners, summon aid if needed.
• Operate police radio.
• Transport stray animals to the Montgomery County SPCA.
• Maintain Township kennel facility and provide care of animals in temporary custody.
• Maintain and repair parking meters and kiosks.
• Make scheduled collections of parking meters and transport monies to the bank.
