Qualifications

• Proven experience in crisis communications and fast-paced decision making.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage external media relationships and coordinate media coverage for public safety related topics.
• Prepare stakeholders for interviews and craft compelling narratives.
• Develop and execute integrated communications plans for safety initiatives.
• Lead crisis communications with clear, timely updates to the university and partners.
• Oversee digital presence and monitor channels for sentiment and misinformation.
• Guide internal communications to ensure policy updates and training are conveyed clearly.
