Guided by its mission, “To provide innovative, clean and energy‑efficient solutions for a better tomorrow,” Delta leverages its expertise in high‑efficiency power electronics and its ESG‑embedded business model to address key environmental challenges, including climate change.

Delta serves customers through its sales offices, R&D centers, and manufacturing facilities across close to 200 locations on five continents.

Key Responsibilities
About the Role

Delta is seeking a Public Relations Strategist to help strengthen its reputation, thought leadership, and media visibility across the Americas.

This is a hands‑on, senior individual‑contributor role responsible for developing messaging, shaping narratives, and executing strategic PR programs aligned with Delta’s business and marketing priorities.

The Public Relations Strategist will work closely with business and marketing teams, executives, technical experts, headquarters corporate communications, and external PR agencies to identify compelling stories and secure relevant media opportunities.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with a keen understanding of market trends and media interests. This individual should recognize which topics will resonate with the market, understand what journalists need, and translate complex technical information into clear and compelling business narratives.

Messaging and Narrative Development
  • Develop clear, differentiated messaging and narratives aligned with Delta’s business objectives, market priorities, and technology leadership.
  • Connect Delta’s technologies and solutions with relevant business challenges, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Translate complex technical information into credible and engaging stories for business, technology, and industry audiences.
  • Identify meaningful proof points, customer examples, market data, and executive perspectives that strengthen Delta’s stories.
  • Maintain consistency across press releases, media pitches, contributed content, interviews, and other external communications.
  • Adapt corporate and global messaging for the Americas market while maintaining alignment with Delta’s overall brand and positioning.
Media Relations and Storytelling
  • Build and maintain relationships with research companies, business, technology, and industry trade media.
  • Develop timely story ideas and proactively pitch relevant journalists, editors, and podcast hosts.
  • Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with Delta executives and subject‑matter experts.
  • Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, contributed articles, talking points, briefing materials, FAQs, and other communications content.
  • Identify opportunities for Delta to contribute to relevant market and industry conversations.
  • Maintain an understanding of journalists’ interests, editorial priorities, and evolving media appetites.
PR Program Execution
  • Develop and execute PR plans supporting Delta’s business and marketing priorities.
  • Support product and solution introductions, corporate announcements, strategic partnerships, customer stories, and industry events.
  • Identify opportunities for media interviews, contributed articles, podcasts, awards, speaking engagements, and executive thought leadership.
  • Monitor business developments, market trends, competitor activity, and media coverage to identify relevant storytelling opportunities.
  • Maintain media lists, PR calendars, project timelines, and communications materials.
  • Manage multiple PR initiatives and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Executive Communications and Agency Direction
  • Prepare executives and subject‑matter experts for media interviews, podcasts, and other external engagements.
  • Develop interview briefs, key messages, talking points, and Q&A materials.
  • Provide strategic direction to external PR agencies for individual announcements, campaigns, and thought‑leadership initiatives.
  • Partner with agencies to determine the strongest narrative, media strategy, target outlets, and outreach approach for each PR initiative.
  • Challenge and refine agency recommendations to ensure strategies are relevant, differentiated, and aligned with Delta’s business goals.
  • Serve as the primary day‑time contact for Delta’s external PR agencies.
  • Review agency‑developed strategies and materials for quality, accuracy, and alignment with Delta’s messaging.
  • Coordinate agency assignments, deliverables, timelines, and performance reporting.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with business units, product marketing, sales, digital marketing, social media, events, legal, and headquarters corporate communications.
  • Gather input from business leaders and technical experts to develop accurate and compelling communications.
  • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals for press releases and other external materials.
  • Adapt global announcements and corporate content for audiences in the Americas.
  • Partner with digital and social media teams to amplify earned‑media coverage across Delta’s channels.
Measurement and Reporting
  • Monitor media coverage, sentiment, message inclusion, competitive visibility, and share of voice.
  • Prepare regular PR and campaign‑performance reports.
  • Evaluate the quality, relevance, and business value of media coverage—not only the volume of placements.
  • Use performance results and market insights to improve future narratives, media outreach, and PR strategies.
  • Support efforts to strengthen Delta’s visibility in traditional search and AI‑generated results.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or integrated communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in B2B technology communications, either in‑house or at a PR or communications agency.
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to connect market trends, business priorities, and media interests.
  • Experience developing strategic messaging, positioning, and narratives for complex technologies or business solutions.
  • Demonstrated success developing media pitches and securing relevant media coverage.
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and business information into clear, credible, and engaging content.
  • Experience writing press releases, media pitches, contributed articles, briefing documents, key messages, and talking points.
  • Experience working with executives and technical subject‑matter experts.
  • Experience providing strategic direction to PR agencies and evaluating agency recommendations and deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with media‑monitoring and database platforms such as Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, or similar tools.
Pay Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in data centers, AI infrastructure, energy, power electronics, industrial automation, sustainability, or another B2B technology industry.

  • Existing relationships with relevant business, technology, or trade media.
  • Experience supporting executive thought leadership, podcasts, awards, or speaking opportunities.
  • Experience working within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for research, content development, and communications measurement.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands‑on communications professional with a strong sensitivity to business priorities, market dynamics, emerging trends, and media appetite.

This individual can quickly determine whether a topic is newsworthy, identify the most compelling business angle, and understand which stories will resonate with different media and audiences. They are intellectually curious, comfortable learning complex technologies, and skilled at turning technical information into clear and differentiated narratives.

The successful candidate can work independently, advise internal stakeholders, and provide clear strategic direction to PR agencies. They can develop the narrative, shape the PR strategy, write the pitch, prepare the spokesperson, and guide execution through follow‑up and measurement.
