Job summary

The Salvation Army in Waco, TX is seeking a Public Relations and Volunteer Services Coordinator to plan, develop, and monitor PR, volunteer programs, and special events for the Area Coordinate. You will recruit and train volunteers, manage communications, and support fundraising efforts to advance community programs.

Responsibilities include writing press releases, coordinating events, supervising volunteers, and presenting to boards and community groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
• Four to five years of experience overseeing special events and volunteer activities.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers; maintains records and conducts background checks.
• Writes press releases and materials; prepares presentations for meetings and boards.
