Job summary

The LSU Manship School of Mass Communication invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track position as a Professional-In-Residence for the Public Relations area to begin in Spring 2027.

The PIR will teach four courses per semester in the Manship School undergraduate core curriculum and/or courses in public relations, strategic communication, corporate communication, crisis communications and courses related to their areas of expertise.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public relations, mass communication, or related field; 7 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, mass communication, or related field with 10+ years of industry-related professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach four undergraduate courses per semester in the Manship School of Mass Communication; develop a portfolio of service activities.
• Assist with supervision of undergraduate research and creative work in lieu of a fourth course.
