Reports to Senior Vice President of News and Public Relations
Androvett is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager who can take ownership of client relationships, provide thoughtful strategic counsel and independently move communications programs forward.
We're looking for a PR professional who brings strong news judgment, initiative and the confidence to lead. Someone who understands what clients are trying to accomplish, identifies opportunities to advance their goals and turns thoughtful recommendations into results.
This position offers meaningful responsibility for client accounts, from developing strategy and counseling clients to media relations, content development and day-to-day execution. Our clients operate in sophisticated, often reputation-sensitive environments, requiring sound judgment, responsiveness and consistently excellent work.
The right person will be comfortable making decisions and moving work forward independently while contributing to a collaborative team that values accountability, professionalism and high-quality work.

- Anticipate client needs, recognize potential challenges and proactively recommend solutions.
- Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with client business objectives, bringing thoughtful recommendations and a clear point of view.
- Exercise independent judgment, recognize communications opportunities and reputational risks, and respectfully challenge assumptions when a different approach would better serve the client.
Media Relations and Opportunity Development
- Proactively identify and develop earned media, thought leadership and other communications opportunities that advance client objectives, visibility and reputation.
- Develop and pitch compelling story ideas to local, regional and national media, recognizing strong news angles and understanding the needs of journalists.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with reporters, editors, producers and other media professionals.
- Prepare and position clients for media interviews and other public-facing opportunities.
- Monitor relevant news, industry developments and emerging issues to identify timely opportunities for clients.
Writing, Content and Execution
- Translate complex legal, business and industry topics into clear, accurate and compelling communications for a variety of audiences, collaborating with marketing, digital and creative colleagues on integrated communications strategies.

- Use AI-enabled research, writing and productivity tools responsibly, exercising appropriate fact-checking, editorial oversight and confidentiality.
Account and Project Management
- Independently manage multiple client accounts, projects, deadlines and priorities, taking initiative to resolve obstacles and move work forward without constant direction.

- Collaborate across the agency, drawing on colleagues' expertise to develop effective client solutions.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and increase the value of Androvett's services.
