Job summary

The candidate will provide legal counsel to county departments, coordinate with outside counsel and court staff, and track document production deadlines while collaborating with IT and stakeholders to improve efficiency and maintain high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania or eligible for PA Bar within 90 days of hire.
• Criminal background checks required (State police, child abuse, FBI).
• Detail oriented with good judgment and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel for County departments and employees.
• Manage records requests including interaction with outside counsel and public.
• Track production deadlines and ensure timely document production.
• Coordinate with County stakeholders to gather responsive documents.
• Ensure records produced comply with laws including HIPAA and Right to Know.
• Assist with legal research and litigation matters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
