Job summary

Required: Bachelor’s in Planning/Geography/Public Admin and 1 year of planning experience; AZ driver’s license or eligibility. May involve site visits and data management in a fast-paced public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, or Public Administration.
• One year of planning experience.
• Arizona residents must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License or obtain one within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Review and process rezoning, planned area developments, and comprehensive plan amendments, and maintain planning documents.
• Review land use, site plans, and subdivision improvement plans for zoning compliance.
• Research files, maintain records, and update computer database and website.
• Assist Senior Planners with research and planning studies and provide customer service to the public.
• Explain guidelines, procedures, policies, and applicable statutes and ordinances related to planning and zoning.
