Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public or business administration.
• Five years of progressively responsible finance experience, including three in a financial management role with staff supervision.
• Knowledge of automated financial, payroll, and management systems.
• Proficiency with Tyler/Munis or similar accounting software.
• Experience with Humanity or similar timekeeping and scheduling system.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with government or nonprofit finance, including fund accounting and audits.
• Preferred qualifications include bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and reporting of all revenue, expenditures, and fund balances for a governmental unit with an annual budget of $5 million.
• Safeguard assets and manage the Library's accounting and financial operations.
• Provide accurate financial reporting and maintain effective internal controls.
• Advise the Executive Director, Library Board of Trustees, and Leadership Team on fiscal policies and decisions.
• Serve as financial liaison with Library Board, department leaders, and City of Urbana.
• Participate in strategic planning and policy development as a Leadership Team member.
