Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in media and/or public relations preferred.
• Public speaking experience and knowledge of the legislative process are favored.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, directs, and provides responses to news media inquiries on sensitive issues in Maine law enforcement.
• Manages the DPS public relations program and updates social media platforms.
• Provides media training across the state.
