Job summary

The NYS Department of Health is seeking Student Assistants to support the Center for Environmental Health - Glens Falls District Office in a variety of administrative and environmental health tasks during the summer season and beyond. Your role includes assisting district staff, handling administrative duties, and potentially field inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum: documentation of current matriculation.
• Preferred: undergraduate or graduate student with ability to work independently and as part of a team; problem solving; strong communication skills; experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support CEH staff with administrative and environmental health functions during summer and beyond.
• Assist district office environmental health staff in critical administrative tasks.
• May perform environmental health inspection functions in the field to ensure compliance with the NYS Sanitary Code and EH regulations.
