Henry Ford Health is seeking a Research Project Manager I in Detroit to oversee small to moderate research projects from start-up to closeout. You will collaborate with Principal Investigators and bioscientific staff to ensure timely execution and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a related degree with several years of research experience or a master’s degree with limited research experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant research experience, or Master's with 6 months of research experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing small to moderate-sized projects.
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of medical terminology.

Role Overview

As a Research Project Manager I, you will play a pivotal role in managing moderately complex research projects from start-up to closeout. You'll collaborate closely with leadership, including Principal Investigators and Senior Bioscientific Staff, to ensure the successful execution of research initiatives. Your work will directly support the advancement of medical research and contribute to improved patient outcomes.

What You Will Do

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience, including at least two (2) years of research experience; OR Master's degree in a related field and six (6) months of research experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing small to moderate-sized projects.
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

• CAP-M or PMI Project Management Professional certification or similar.
• Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification.
• Experience in the coordination of prospective research projects with a clinical component.
