Job summary

Wayne State University is seeking a Research Assistant for the Division of Research & Innovation at the Detroit campus. The role supports clinical and population science projects under the PI’s direction, including data collection and participant coordination.

The position is temporary and part-time, with compensation by the hour. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and be able to work independently in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Entry level (0–1 year) experience preferred.
• Experience with basic research techniques and interaction with human subjects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical/population science (human subjects) research.
• Screen potential research participants on the Wayne Health Mobile Units, obtain informed consent, and collect data.
• Participate in implementing research objectives, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and protocol guidelines.
• Assist staff with experiments/research protocols and communicate with the PI and Postdoctoral scholars/fellows.
• Collect and log laboratory results, clinical outcomes and follow-up data; edit documents for accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
