Job summary

State of Arkansas Department of Human Services in Arkansas seeks a Health Program Supervisor/Expert to oversee public health programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic direction. This role serves as the agency’s SME in a designated health domain and leads program development and evaluation.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets and grants, monitor outcomes with data analysis, and communicate findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, health science, social work, education, public administration, or a closely related field; plus three (3) years of public health experience; plus one (1) year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program staff, including coordinators, specialists, and support personnel, and evaluate performance.
• Serve as SME for a designated public health domain such as chronic disease prevention, infectious disease control, environmental health, maternal and child health, or emergency preparedness.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes using qualitative and quantitative data to ensure efficiency, impact, and equity.
• Oversee budget development, fiscal reporting, and grant management; guide grant applications and program audits.
