Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Public Health Program Associate to support federal health clients in planning, implementing, and improving programs. You will collaborate with clients, public health partners, and multidisciplinary teams to translate scientific and policy information into actionable deliverables.

Responsibilities span research, program design, stakeholder engagement, performance monitoring, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

Job Family:Operational EffectivenessTravel Required:Up to 10%Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:As a Public Health Program Associate supporting Guidehouse’s federal health clients, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, and improvement of public health programs and initiatives. You will work with clients, public health partners, technical experts, and multidisciplinary teams to address complex needs and translate scientific, policy, programmatic, and operational information into practical recommendations and high-quality deliverables. Depending on the engagement and your experience, you may support or lead activities related to public health research and analysis, program planning, technical assistance, performance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, policy implementation, and continuous improvement. Assignments may span disease prevention and health promotion, preparedness and response, workforce development, health communications, program operations, community health, and other public health priorities.Specific Responsibilities Will Include:Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of public health programs, projects, and initiatives.Work with clients and partners to understand program needs, clarify objectives, and develop practical approaches for achieving desired outcomes.Conduct research, environmental scans, literature reviews, needs assessments, and other qualitative or quantitative analyses.Analyze and synthesize scientific, policy, programmatic, and operational information to support decisions and recommendations.Develop program plans, work plans, implementation approaches, guidance, tools, and other resources that support effective program operations.Track program goals, schedules, milestones, deliverables, performance measures, risks, and action items.Monitor program activities, identify implementation challenges, and recommend opportunities to improve quality, effectiveness, and timeliness.Support program evaluation, performance measurement, quality improvement, and related analytical activities.Provide technical assistance and programmatic support to public health agencies, programs, and partner organizations.Plan and facilitate meetings, workgroups, interviews, focus groups, briefings, trainings, and stakeholder-engagement activities.Coordinate activities across government agencies, public health organizations, healthcare organizations, community partners, and other stakeholders.Prepare reports, executive briefings, presentations, meeting summaries, communication materials, and other client deliverables.Translate complex information into clear, accessible, and actionable content for technical and nontechnical audiences.Communicate progress, findings, risks, and recommendations to clients, project leadership, and team members.Review information and work products for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.Contribute to a collaborative team environment and consistently demonstrate Guidehouse’s standards for quality, accountability, responsiveness, and client service.Perform additional public health programmatic, analytical, operational, or advisory responsibilities based on the needs of the assigned engagement.What You Will Need:Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, health policy, health administration, epidemiology, social or behavioral sciences, biological sciences, public administration, public policy, or a related field.ONE (1) or more years of professional experience in Public HealthMust be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD \"PUBLIC TRUST\"; candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.What Would Be Nice To Have:Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, health policy, health administration, public administration, public policy, social or behavioral sciences, biological sciences, or a related fieldProfessional, academic, fellowship, internship, or practicum experience contributing to public health, healthcare, human services, research, policy, program operations, or related initiatives.Ability to support multiple activities and produce accurate, timely, and well-organized work.Ability to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate qualitative or quantitative information.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences.Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Experience supporting federal health clients or federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial public health agencies.Knowledge of public health systems, programs, policies, funding environments, and organizational structures.Experience providing technical assistance, implementation support, or capacity building to public health programs or partner organizations.Experience developing guidance, toolkits, reports, briefings, presentations, training materials, or other client-facing products.Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and diverse organizations across the public health system.Relevant certification in public health, project management, program evaluation, process improvement, change management, or a related area.Proficiency with data analysis, visualization, survey, project management, or collaboration tools.The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00.
