Job summary

Denton County is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator to provide professional and technical public health support. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across the local health system to deliver essential public health services, including vaccination education and outreach.

The role involves developing toolkits, training local messengers, creating data reports, and assisting with clerical tasks during outreach events. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum one year of related field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in the local public health system.
• Develop and maintain health promotion materials to increase vaccine education.
• Provide training for trusted messengers to address vaccine hesitancy and misinformation.
• Create, maintain, and archive records and reports per program requirements.
• Respond to data requests and perform data entry with accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as liaison between the community, health professionals, and health and human service organizations.
